Hi there,

We are in the process of building an 13B REW for E85 & hope to reach the magic 550HP/Rw.

Could you help by explaining your setup - fuel injectors, computer, porting, dowelled, turbo & ex housing etc.

Many Thanks.

there's nothing special about running E85 fuel. You just need approximately 30% more fuel for the same setup. I would at least run 4 x 2200 cc injectors and fuel pumps that will support 800hp (rotary power) if you plan to support 550rwhp. Everything else is the same as tuning for race gas.

Steve, thanks - what turbos would you suggest that would allow us to reach the 550hp,

we intend on running a bosch 044 to feed the 2 litre surge tank, SX 1000hp external pump to feed engine, 4x1600 & 2 x880 primary.
Haltech 2000 ecu, or possibly Motec M600 (funds????)

large extend port with race port exhaust, dowelled, balanced with 3mm PTS Apex seals.

The Turbo is the unknown - was thinking BW366 race cover, 0.84 or 0.90 Ex housing & 4 inch exhaust with turbosmart 45mm ext wg.

cheers

BW366 will probably make 550hp but I would go with a BW472 or bigger for more flow and efficiency.
